Essence: A one-way check valve designed specifically for the bottom of pump suction pipes to prevent liquid backflow and maintain the water filling state inside the pump.
Core functions:
Anti backflow: The valve disc (such as rubber disc, spring assisted metal disc) opens and closes unidirectionally to block the medium backflow during shutdown and prevent the pump body from idling;
Anti clogging: The bottom is often equipped with a filter screen structure to intercept impurities (such as sediment and debris), protect the pump body and pipelines;
Typical design:
Straight through/right angle, flange or threaded connection, mostly made of cast iron or stainless steel (corrosion-resistant);
Low flow resistance design reduces suction loss and is suitable for low viscosity media such as water and oil.
Application scenarios: Centrifugal pump suction inlet, farmland irrigation, ship ballast water system, chemical liquid transportation and other self-priming pump systems.
